Home Checks for Forever Homes

Max as you know is a rescue collie, he came from Many Tears. Every so often Many Tears have arequest for a forever home in Dorset & Hampshire.

Marcus has now done a few of these. The one he did today is for Cherry a scared forgotten border collie, who did not do the right things to become a sheep dog, so ended up at Many Tears.

The home visit went brilliantly, Max was totally spoilt and found the cat food within seconds of being allowed into the house, trust him! :)

Hopefully Cherry's potential new parents will pop over to meet Cherry on the weekend and hopefully bring her back to her forever home.

If you would like to know more or see some of those yet to find their forever home please visit Many Tears web site.

Dogs and cats are so rewarding and there are lots that could become an amazing part of your family.

Max's first doggy training

Max has now completed his 1st 5 weeks of training with Hamble Hounds.

The change in him and all of the dogs in our class has been amazing. From timid dogs finding their voice and enjoying meeting other dogs, to Max not being scared of men coming up to him so much anymore.

Max now sits, he is less likely to send you flying with jumping up, he knows how to sit and down. He also waits and will walk to heal. All of this is still under ongoing development and he still visits next door without an invite, even with Marcus's best efforts at baracades!

The joy of having him is he is always happy to see you and is always up to something... whether it be sleeping, eating, chewing, playing or having his tummy tickled and hogging most of the sofa!

He is having his claws cut by the Vetinary nurse on Friday, so another new experience for Marcus and Max. Marcus is going to see how it is done, so if we need to he can cut Max's claws.
